FAQs
Eligibility, payments, draw nights, payouts — laid out in plain language.Eligibility
Who can take part?
Adults aged 18 or older who are physically inside Ontario at the moment of purchase.
Can I buy a ticket from outside Ontario?
No. Our AGCO raffle licence (RAF1493441, valid Aug. 01, 2025 – June 30, 2026) restricts ticket sales to purchasers physically located in the province.
Can club volunteers and staff enter?
Yes, with one exception: members of the executive directly involved in running the draw aren't allowed to enter.
Tickets
How are my numbers assigned?
They're generated the moment payment clears. You'll see them on the confirmation screen and again in your email receipt.
Can I get my money back?
Once an order is confirmed, sales are final. The exception is a cancelled draw — in that case every ticket holder is refunded automatically.
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. Payments run through a PCI-compliant processor; we never see or store your full card number.
How much does a ticket cost?
Single entries start at $2. Bundle pricing brings the per-ticket cost down in the largest pack. The full price list is shown at checkout.
Can I buy tickets as a gift for someone else?
You can pay using your own card, but every ticket is registered to a specific name, email, and phone — and the registered holder is the only person we can pay out to.
The draw
Where and when is the draw conducted?
Draws take place at the club facility (1540 Lottie Neely Park Rd, Sarnia) at the time published on the Draw Schedule. The exact method is documented on the Rules page.
How is the winning entry chosen?
A random number generator approved under our AGCO licence selects one ticket from every entry sold for that draw.
What if a draw needs to be moved?
We publish the new date here and email everyone who already holds a ticket. Existing tickets stay valid.
Is the draw observed by anyone independent?
Yes. Each draw is witnessed by a neutral observer who is not part of the club executive. Their attestation is filed with the AGCO licence record.
Winnings
How do I collect my prize?
We contact the winning ticket holder directly using the email and phone on file. You'll be asked to confirm your identity and ticket number before payout.
How quickly will I be paid?
Prizes go out by e-transfer or cheque within seven business days of completed verification.
What if my prize sits unclaimed?
Unclaimed prizes are held in trust and handled in line with AGCO rules. Full detail lives on the Rules page.
Will my name be made public if I win?
Only with your written consent. The AGCO does require us to publish a basic confirmation that a winner has been paid, but your full name and photo are never released without permission.
Do I have to pay tax on my winnings?
Lottery and raffle winnings are not considered taxable income in Canada. If you're unsure how a prize affects your specific situation, talk to an accountant.
